Fall is here, start celebrating!! Halloween, Football, Oktoberfest and Thanksgiving!

This client was having her birthday at a Lazer Tag venue and wanted to make the party room a bit more festive! SPP was able to spruce up the standard tables and put together an elaborate dessert buffet for all the guests to enjoy once the Lazer Tag was finished.

Fall is my all-time favorite season! The weather cools off, the leaves start to change colors and there are so many fun and festive occasions to celebrate. Football season kicks off in September and whether you are an avid sports fan or just enjoy tailgating, it is a great reason to gather some friends, dust off your best tailgating recipes and spend a few leisurely hours cheering on your team. Nothing brings people together quite like sports. I live in a house with three boys (four if you count the dog!), and my boys LOVE watching football! This is the first year since my boys have been born that we don't live 5 minutes away from an SEC football stadium. My soon to be 9 year old is missing our football lifestyle, so we have decided to kick it back in gear by throwing him a championship worthy FOOTBALL 9th Birthday Party! I can't wait to share all the details when it is completed, but it will be decked out in the traditional green/white/orange/brown color scheme with burlap and chalkboard details. Go team!

Maybe sports aren't your thing, but beer is. Get in the spirit with an Oktoberfest celebration! You don't have to be German to celebrate this Bavarian tradition. Oktoberfest is generally held from mid to late September through the first weekend in October. This party is best left to the adults based on the nature that it is centered around beer. However, it is a great excuse to get a sitter and enjoy some grown up time with friends. Grab some beer steins, lederhosen/dirndl dresses and a collection of German treats and you will have an outstanding celebration your friends will be talking about for weeks!

The all-time favorite for many during the Fall season, Halloween!! Halloween is one of my most anticipated holidays. First, I love to get dressed up! Costumes have changed a lot since my childhood. I was all the classic characters that you could throw together yourself on a limited single mom budget. I was a clown, a hobo, a cheerleader and an angel. I always loved the part of tracking down all the elements we would use to make a costume, like my halo made out of aluminum foil. For most present day children, Halloween costume foraging consists of a picking something off the internet or a trip to Target to see what isn't sold out. However, I still love creating custom and unique Halloween details. There are only 51 days left until Halloween, in fact. Halloween parties are great for adults only or family celebrations. There are tons of options for decor, treats and even creating your own costume contest for guests. Don't forget to download a Halloween playlist, music is one of the best ways to bring your event to life!

For most, Thanksgiving is all about the FOOD. However, it is also a great reason to celebrate your gratitude and thankfulness for friends and family. Maybe family is far away and it is not feasible to get together at every celebration. This is a great opportunity to bring your nearest and dearest friends together for a Friendsgiving. Add a few sentimental touches, such as gratitude favors to let your friends know how much they mean to you. Thanksgiving also gives you an opportunity to transform your home. This year I am opting for modern fall decor. White pumpkins with touches of metallic and glitter. Holidays are great at giving you the option to change up your scenery and dress your home a little differently than the majority of the year.
